someone mentioned the topix forum , i was was just curious when i went into the site , but i was really alarmed at some of the venomous hateful comments and strong language it contained , i'm not a prude {At least i hope not } but i found it to be quite a distasteful site and quite frightening i shall not be entering that site again , oh and yeh george was there i made one comment to him , anonomously .

OMG just read through a few of the threads on there - glad that theres nothing like that on here or C44, I certainly wouldn't be here if there was. Saw your comment simbas! Don't they have a moderator on there? Makes you wonder if this island can ever truly live in peace.

I too have been offended in the past on some of these forums and yesterday I could see the same was going to happen to C44. I asked Izzet to do something about it and he has (very quickly), so hopefully that will have stopped them in their tracks.

dont get me started on topix!!!! i used to post on their under a diffrent handle, but it seems to me there were not enuf turks but more greeks not even cypriots most from the u.s posting abusive rubbish and i got into many a slaging match between these idiots, to a point i could not handle it no more it was making my blood boil, so i left it and never went back not worth my time or effort its a rubbish forum anyway, a word of advice lets just keep to cyprus44 and this one

I've tried a few times to go into the Topix forum, and every time my internet access closes down!!!! My company has some sort of software that doesn't allow access to certain sites, thought thankfully this one and C44 are not banned! I am very curious to see what kind of threads are posted there. Looks like I've missed all the ruckus, but from subsequent posts I've got the gist. Whatever comments were made to BHW, good for her not to let it upset her. They don't know her, so I'm glad she's not taken anything personally. And as for Erkan, you have every right to react to something you feel so passionate about; if someone was to insult my race/nationality so distgustingly, I would find it very hard not to respond. Anyway, hopefully things will get back to normal and the forum will return to its usual friendly self. BTW Erkan, congrats on becoming the moderator for both sites, though where you are going to find the time, I don't know!!

thank you for your kind words and you are right i dont know where ill find the time, during the day at work it wont be a problem cos i dont have anyone to answer to, but in the evening it will be harder cos i answer to my other half and she is complaining im spending to much time of late on the internet!!! over the weekend i thought i would try and find these idiots on topix and low and behold i did george-turkhater and justice belive you me i had many a heated exchange with these ingeranus people but after putting them straight they could only answer me with f off or not even responding to me quite funny really when you back these knobs into one corner
