Has anyone else heard that goat's, sheep and cattle are entering the site and eating the plants which have only just been planted? Efforts to ask Evergreen to secure the site have so far proved fruitless with Amikam (the director) saying that this is not his problem. I'm sorry to say this is a typical response from this man and his company. I would urge anyone buying on CBV to make representation to Evergreen to pressurise them into securing the site, otherwise we will be footing the bill for thousands of pounds woth of damaged plants (paid for by us in the first place). Please join me in protesting directly to Evergreen and insisit that the site is secured with gates.
Thank you for your time. |

Nevergreen.
I am sure one of the residents at CBV will correct me if I am wrong, but from what I have heard, cattle entered the site at CBV through a gap in the fence at the front, which had been left open by the landscaping team. This I believe is now secure. They did not get in through the main entrance, so it is really not Evergreen's fault, but that of the on site contractors. I am getting confused now, I thought you were buying on CB village, are we now to welcome you as a CBV owner? Regards sun |

The cows entered through the main rntrance not the hole in the fence. We have also had goats in from the top car park entrance. As I write the situation is that Evergreen have said that this is not there problem to secure the site, I feel it is and have asked Lynx to put this to Evergreen. There was cattle in again yesterday, we managed to chase them away before the damaged too much. Please note everyone - if the cattle, sheep or goats get on site and eat the plants the only way we will get them replaced is by paying for them ourselves out of the float. I strongly feel this IS Evergreen's responsibility
Please comment...

Paul,
Thanks for that, I stand corrected. It just shows that you can't rely on the 'grapevine' for acurate information. Now I have the facts from a resident changes my view on responsibilities of securing the site. I will put my views to Evergreen when we meet on 25 Aug. Only a week to go now, we arrive late on Fri 22 Aug. Look forward to meeting you all again Regards Andrew |

We have expressed our concerns to Evergreen, and they have confirmed (today) that Lynx is in discussion with the directors of Evergrren regarding the problem, and hopefully this will be resolved soon.

On the above matter I have had a response from Amikam at Evergreen which is not favorable. He said that securing the site with gates is not his responsibility, I feel it is!
I would like to urge anyone that has bought from Evergreen to complain directly to him on this matter, the email address is amikam@evergreendevelopments.com. Also if anyone would be happy to make contact so that we can build up a contact list so that we can have a stronger voice please feel free to email me direct.

The site has been handed over to Lynx, my understanding of this is that Lynx are responsible for the communal areas, no different from a tennanted office block in the city whereby ownership of tennanted areas iare the responsibilty of the resident tennant and the communal/public areas are the responsibilty of the Landlord/Managing agent I am aware that Evergreen have a continiung vested interest in the develpment and its/our managing agent, Lynx. Maybe ownership of the problem is more Lynx and pressure should be applied to Evergreen to push Lynx to act upon behalf of the residence/owners Difficult call as to who is responsible, but I sympathise totally and would be wiling to help mediate a amicable solution This is in my mind a terratorial dispute involving the farmer, assuming no rights of way grazing rights exsist maybe the local council could resolve this ? Hi Paul
I have e-mailed Amikam about the site security. As you know at 7-30 in the morning it aint easy trying to get rid of three hungry cattle ! I suggested to him that they should either fit a gate or, more effectively, a cattle grid. They have worked for years in the U K and surely it would not cost much to fit one .The last thing we want is for anything to spoil the site, because it looks as though it will look brilliant when it is all finished. all the best Ian |

Hi Ian,
Thanks for your support. We ned to get this and other things sorted with the site before the year end when the excuse will then be "out of guarantee". Thanks Paul
