Hi all,Had a great time in NC- Weather was fantastic ,the site is really coming on now and moving fast it looks great, and it was nice to finally meet up with others and put faces to names!! The communal swimming area is alot bigger and better than I imagined as it looks so big and very well thought out!! And the sea and mountain views were even more beautiful than I remember from my last visit a year ago!! Even since last year so much has changed and developed in NC - new roads are popping up or are being finished now, alot of other developments are almost finished and are operational, lots of shops, supermarkets etc are open and are still being built aswell!! Mind you all taht said and done it was great to be back with the hubbie and the kids of course!!!! Thankyou very much to moira, keith, arthur and dorothy for their hospitality throughout the trip! Moira and dorothy I would love the recipes for the ratatouile and potatoe salad - if you get a chance. Thanx again!! Take care all-d

Welcome back Davina.
Are any more people living there yet and do you think the apartments will be ready for holidays in August? What was the Seaterra Marina site like and how does it compare to ours? Was there any decent reasonable close restaurants in the area? Thanks, All the best, Loby. |

Hi North4me,
I noticed on the other site that you were looking for somewhere to stay in October because your place won't be ready. I've booked flights for August and my apartment (123) is on phase 2 (supposed to be ready end of May, which I do know it won't be) but in your opinion will the site be ready for a holiday in August or will it be best to book accomodation somewhere else! Thanks, Loby. |

Hi Loby
![]() I've been told that although our apartment will be ready the site will not be usable for a holiday in October but its up to you at the end of the day. We are booking elsewhere and hopefully furnish the apartment when we are over. |

Thanks N4m,
I thought as much, I had visions of maybe booking a place for a week and then the second week in the apartment but from what you say I may have to revise that plan. Are you in phase 2 or phase 3? If the phase 2 apartments are finished but the sites not ready for holidays or living in, how do we stand for making final payments and communal/ electric/ water charges etc! Do we have to pay these? As anybody noticed on the SWB construction site some of the little number boxes are no longer visible but you can still use the drop down boxes? Now a few of you have been out and seen it again, I asked on a earlier post why the pool appeared to be in a dip but you can now see that the levels are tiered so that everybody gets a good view, a really nice touch. It's better than some sites which are completely flat. Gaynor, you'll have seen when you were there and on the site photos that yours has been started, exciting, the downside is that now you have to start paying. Take care, Loby. |

Hi all,The main L shape pool does slope to different depths, whereas the small round toddler pool is all one depth, and Im not sure about the long half covered pool whether it is all one depth or not? They are working hard on the restaurant, gym, shop and offices etc which are looking fab!! Its your choice but you might need to consider the following that in the next few months some properties may be ready by then or soon after, But I m not sure that the communal facilities will be operational by then? Also another issue is that you may not have mains water, sewage and electric etc available by then. Take care-D

We are Phase 2 If your apartment is finished and connected to all the services then you will have to pay for your connection fees. You will also be asked to pay your Vat which is 5% of the purchase price and not an evaluation price. I have queried this and was sent a memo by the developers accountants stipulating the above. I think you could fight the vat issue but if you are planning keeping your property for a few years you would be as well paying it as you never no when they may raise the vat rate. Also with the new estate agency law you no longer pay taxes etc on evaluation its on purchase price unfortunitly. Management fees, Personally I will not be paying management fees until the whole complex is up and running pools working, gym, bar, restaurant, shops, landscaping complete so they actually have something to manage. As I'm sure Sweetwater are aware this could be a volatile issue and if they have any sense they will not be asking for any management fees until the site is complete. |

Davina, sorry didn't explain myself very well, I didn't mean the pools slope, I meant the buildings are on different levels with the apartments on one level, the pool complex lower and the bungalows lower still thus giving most people good views over the top.
N4m, thanks for the reply, I tend to agree with you concerning the management fees. Another grey area is, if the services haven't the final connection for whatever reason, are the apartments technically finished? Loby. |

Hi all,Sorry loby- yes they are. The swimming pool area is sunken infront of the apartments and slope off at a gradiant towards the sea so fab views all round. The design and thought that went into SWB is really something special. Every property is positioned slightly differently i.e high, location, angle so everyone gets great views all round of the sea and mountains. I do know about when the utilities connections will be ? But I remember SWB saying months ago that they were going to get kibtek ( electric co.) etc to come and fit all the metres in the properties all in one go once the site was complete To save them making lots of individual trips to SWB. The shop onsite also points out towards the main road which I pressume means that passers by will be able to shop their aswell as theres lots of window and door openings either side of the building- But yet again thats only my theory?? When we left they had stated to dig out the road and paths between the apartments that run along the back and the middle line of villas. They have said they are now moving the workers huts and are trying to finish the landscaping on that area there now aswell. They were working on all the paths that run along the front line villas aswell that lead up to the site entrance which are looking really good now. They left little squares at intervals along the path which they didnt pave over- which I presume will be for planting something i.e trees/plants ?? Palm trees would look fantastic along that road! Take care-D

Hi all,Fenicien- Like I said on C44 when I spoke to swb a few days ago they have decided not to import and lay sand on the beach but will still clean it, build a jetty into the sea and provide a hardstanding area for loungers etc. SWB have always said they were thinking about doing X..Y..and Z on the beach and people have been told different things at different points. The whole sand issue was always going to be a costly expense one which unfortunately always seemed to have ????? marks around it. I know what you mean though as I was originally lead to believe when I bought that they were thinking of laying sand on the beach- But I also found out about the jetty later on from other owners talking about it which was the first Id heard. So well have to wait and see what developes as one week it can be one thing and the next its different-who knows?? Take care-D |

Hi All
![]() The beach at Sweetwater, yes sand would be nice but it is a shingle beach for a reason I don't think it will support sand. Check out Algadi beach its sandy and sandy in the sea. I think what David has said on his post what the plans are, are OK but we will wait and see the final outcome
