SJ- I think so as the numbers about 80+ at the moment so N4M will have to work a miracle on the day.... managing to cook for 80+ using 6 bbqs and 20 gas cylinders to cook all at once!!!!

Mind you Im sure 118 and 119 could share the workload for the day???

I admire them for moving in whilst the place is still a full scale building site I couldnt do that -I wish them luck and hopefully they took an ample supply of head ache tablets and ear plugs with them????

Also Izzit has asked for suggestions to tidy up the C44 site - I've asked hikm if we coud have a category whereby SWB is back on the first page - maybe a homeowners forum as I am not sure most of the gang know where to find us.

WEIRD!!! SWB have recently only added one photo to the site for the sewage plant- are they trying to make a statement???
OR did they forget to add more pickies at the same time???

ALSO much to my amazement I noticed a anatolian sky brochure on the shelves in the travel agents shop the other day for turkey and north cyprus!!!

Its a nice one aswell and looks very pretty and expensive too!!!

I t has prime position next to my computer to constantly remind me of this beautiful place!!!!!

Just a shame the government dont invest more money on public bins and rubbish clearing and collection!!!

We should start a petition of fund raising to provide more bins in NC to stop people with no manners and pride in their country from continuously littering it and spoling its natural beauty!!!

Thats my thought and whinge for the day anyway!!!!!!

Changes are happening daily in NC but government are continuously trying to keep up with infrastructure and because taxes are so low most British living permanently don't pay these. I understand there's a couple of women already living out there that are looking at setting something up on a voluntary basis!

I was also told that building development slows in very wet and very hot weather. The last time I spoke to SWB, I was told that they're on schedule for completing phase two at the end of May.

Davina, Izzet said that he was going on holiday for a week and would be changing C44 format thereafter, can you also ask him to try to put us back on page one - maybe, "homeowners' forum" or something as most of the gang can't find us!

Have just contacted the trnc london office and spoke to a pleasant lady called sarp in the legal department and she confirmed that you have to do this!

You need to contact your solicitors in NC to do this for you- They can do this for you if they have power of attourney already !

If they dont have power of attourney then you will need to ensure they do first!

There still seems to be some confusion as to whether you need a new Power of Attorney to register at the Land Registry - as Keith and I opted to pay the 0.5 percent on purchase instead of the 1.5 percent later, this should be registered - in any case I would have thought that a Power of Attorney should cover our lawyers being able to to the registration without all of us going up to London - a coupe of people are goingto try to clarify this up today - watch C44 forum re: Registration.

FINALLY BOOKED MY TICKET TO NC!!!!

Going out on 26th april- returning on 30th april with kthy to ercan and back for £200 all incl which is a fair price and theres loads of seats left aswell!!

But with kthy the nearer the date the more expensive the flights become- So if anyone else wants to go Id book soon!!

Spoke to edith today regarding whats happening!

Ist is about this registartion scenario
Apparently last year all developers, buiders, agents etc had to apply for a legal licence to trade in NC !
They had to apply to the trnc government who then authorises who can trade and not in order to sift out bogus or ruthless, unprofessional agents, builders and developers in order to protect property buyers!

If the trnc ok them to legally trade then they receive a licence number and certificate from the government with permission to legally trade!

Sweetwater bay received this before christmas -so we are ok folks!!!

She said that what to do is contact my solicitor to get them to do the registration for me and what should happen is your solicitor has to contact SWB and they will send them copies of the licence number and certificate then the solicitor has to go to kyrenia to register the transaction and take with them the licence certificate and a copy of your contract to get it all stamped and logged onto the trnc records as a legal purchase for your protection!!

WHICH IS REALLY POSITIVE NEWS- JUST PROVES THEY ARE MAKING MORE EFFORT TO CRACK DOWN ON BOGUS TRADERS IN NC!!!!!!
And yet another reason to get more money from us of course!!!!
BUT BETTER SAFER THAN SORRIER I SUPPOSE!!!

REGARDING SWB CONSTRUCTION:::

* The swimming pool is concreted and they are starting to tile it and it will have a huge SWB logo in the middle of it on the floor!
* They have started putting the footings in for the buildings around the swimming pool for the restaurant, bar and spa etc!
* They are currently laying the cables to properties for the tv, internet, sat etc!
* They are currently building the entrance area to swb- brick wall, gates, sign etc!
* Shop and office is built but not yet finished!
* Electric key cards are available so e-mail andy at SWB and let him know if you want one installed but edith couldnt remeber at the time cost etc!
* SILVERgoods upgrade costs £ 500 also let andy know you want to upgrade
* Also apprently yaov has finally agreed to bring some sand in for the beach!
* The satellite scenario 1-2 dish system for the development will be going ahead- but final details, cost etc yet to be confirmed!

Afew other little bits of info also:

*A company called le mars has just got a contract and permission to build petrol stations and supermarkets along the new coastl road but they are unsure of exact locations yet ( but hopefully near to SWB for convenience- fingers crossed!!!!)
* They have started work again on the kyrenia-karpas coastal road that stopped short just by tatlisu! They have dug out the entire road up to karpaz now and it has been pinned wt the sides and ready to be tarmacked asap!!

I found out today that the roof is on and that they have been going through my style choices as they are starting the insides my tiling ,and installing bathrooms and kitchens etc this week!!!!!

So roll on April as I have a feeling that my apartment should be ready ( I HOPE!!!) By the time I go out there!!!
That would be nice if it was- Then I may have to hammer the credit cards while Im there and do some SERIOUS SHOPPING!!!!!

I also emailed Edith re the registration and she told me that she has a meeting on Saturday with her solicitor, shel will come back to us next week with exact info on way forward as there appears to be some confusion on whether it's necessary to go to London to have PoA signed - I will post her response when recd.

Just found out that GRANITE WORkSURFACES for kitchens are an optional extra if you want to order them!!!

So I ordered mine today BLACK granite- Cant wait Ive always wanted granite work tops and a kitchen island!!!!!!!!! Roll on completion!!!!

My uk kitchen is too small for an island and I didnt have the money at the time to afford granite surfaces when I didi my kitchen!!!!!!!

BUT hey triple rollover tonite so keep wishing!!!
If I win Ill buy you all granite worktops!!!!

I know Im wearing those rose tinted glasses yet agin today!!!!
