Hi Guys
As you may have noticed I am not very happy with paying £350 to have my lawyer register my contract with the land registry especially as I feel they are abusing this new law and making scape goats out of all of us. ![]() I have been pursuing this and contacting various organisations to find out what the truth is about the new law and where we stand. I have received a very interesting email today and will gladly email a copy to anyone who is interested I will not put it on the public boards so if you want a copy pm me your email address |

Hi all,Also just noticed in the photos of C42 and C58 villas you can see the boundary/entrance wall into SWB that theyve built with rocks and a space where the grey breeze blocks are where they are going to put the SWB sign that edith has ordered!! Looks good- not sure what the height of the wall is though maybe 5 ft or so?? Also the way the wall curves inwards looks good and theyll fit gates on it eventually!! The pools look great cant wait to see it tiled?? Off to usa tomorrow for a friends wedding -will catch up with everyone in a weeks time!! Take care-D |

Hi all
Im really confused! Have been reading the threads and trying to make sense of all this. I to received an email from my Soicitor (the one charging £350), I repiled asking for all the relevent documentation (receipt for payinfg the Stamp Duty etc), but as yet no reply! I have even emailed SweetwaterBay (who I am buying of) to see if they could offer any help, but they said that the Solicitors are the one that are dealing with this. It looks like i am probably going to have to pay the £350.000 to get them to do it for me. I guess I could go out to Northern Cyprus myself to do it, but that would mean more expense. Does anyone know what the procedure is if I was to get someone who I know that is going out there to do it on my behalf? Many thanks |

Hiya Sam,
Great to hear your post. i also think it will be tha late too. We should have paid our 2nd stage in Nov and now its nearly the end of Feb. Not worrying though. As long as they do an excellent job. We are going over again at the end of April. Bye for now Gaynor |

Hi all,Im back- had a great time in deliverance land where the banjos were playing?? Hi sam and welcome to the forum!! Gaynor- Im going from 26th-30th april to NC aswell so well have to make arrangements and meet up as others will be there at that time aswell!! The communal facilities look to be ploughing ahead now and it all seems to be moving very quickly now!! ![]() I would love to say it will all be ready by the end of this year- But unfortunately it is very rare that developments deliver on time just like anything in life - there are always delays!! But so far so good!! Take care all-speak soon D

Hi all,Spoke to SWB and the latest update on a few things are: * Start of phase 3 construction is around may/april 08 * Childrens playground equiptment is to be selected from a catalogue soon * The electric pilons that run through the development are to be repositioned and moved in the next few weeks. They will be putting the pillons in the rivine and run the cables from there underground to the units- so no overhead electric cables! (touch-wood!!!) * The electric backup onsite will be for the communal facilities only i.e sewage plants, water system etc and will not be for the individual units! * Water will not be connected as yet to a mains water supply- But they will construct the water tank so that when the government decide to provide nearby water mains then we will be able to connect ito it easily! *The 1 dish system is looking unlikely at the moment due to high costs and no where to site the dishes! But decision still TBC- But not looking too positive at the moment! Take care-D P.S- Jakki- Cant find the extras form for prices but Im sure granite ranged from £150-185 sqm. And my aircon for a 3 bed apartment was around £900! Silver goods upgrade was £500- and all the prices are exclusive of VAT- So you need to add that ontop aswell! |

David thanks for the info
good news about the pylons.I am assuming that as we are no longer connecting to the water main that serves Tatilsu as was discussed originally does this mean that our water supply will be coming from the boreholes that they have dug on site and if so does anyone no how sustainable they are likely to be ie are they likely to dry up and if so would this mean having to run the site from tankers ![]() Does this also mean that if we are using our own supply and not the public supply we do not have to pay connection fees for water ![]() Does anyone no how common this practise is for a development the size of Sweetwater

Hi all,N4M- I Dont know how it will work?? Although logic and common sense tells me theyll pump the water from the underground supply by using the well!! Then store it in the tank for us to use as and when we need it?? Apparently this natural water supply from the well is supposed to be quite big?? But yet again who knows how big ? And how much we will need? And how much or for how long can the well supply this for until it runs out?? Its like wht come first the chicken or the egg scenario a bit?? Also the water fees is a good question? And will we need to still get installed a water aswell as an electric meter ?? take care-D ![]() WHERE HAS EVERYONE GONE?? THAT BERMUDA TRIANGLE HAS RE-APPEARED YET AGAIN?? |
