Hi all,N4M-Yeah spotted it !! Well found out some positive news about the satellite dishes through the grape vine recently- But dont take every word as gosple or binding!! SWB are not putting in a 1 dish system now- But in the apartment blocks there is a large void area in the roof space which has been allocated for satellite dishes that will be hidden-so out of sight out of mind!! On the villas and bungalows the dishes will be fixed to the sides of their property to ensure that others have unobstructed sea and site views!! Also the dishes needed for the properties are only 60cm dishes instead of the 1.5 metre dishes that we were lead to believe that we needed!! N4M- But unfortunately I didnt find this information out until after I had upset SWB with some sensitive issues regarding a few matters !! ![]() Take care-D

Hi all,Just noticed a few more general construction photos on the SWB site!! A couple of the roads , walls and swimming pool and restaurant!! Like I said they normally post them within the space of a few days so you need to keep an eye onit- But I think thats the last of the photos for this month now!! The pool looks good and the building shells around the pool are all up aswell!! Like soimeone else said on C44 -The great thing about SWB is that it has a lovely little village feel to it rather than just a development and I TOTALLY AGREE with them!! take care-D P.S-N4M I have apologised for upsetting them briefly amd for my emotional outburst!!! But hey whats done is done- life goes on and no use crying over spilled milk- theres more important things in life!! |

Going over to cyprus in the next few weeks to register my contract at the Land Registry. Has any of the Sweetwater gang registered theirs.
![]() Was everything ok once you registered no mortagages etc on the site. How much did it cost to register was it 44.50 or did it cost any more than that. Any help appreciated

myself and susan went over to north cyprus at the begining of feb.at that time the percentage of stamp duty that was to be paid was unclear so our solicitors naomi mehmet asked us to pay 1% which eqaited to £726 and charged us £350 for doing it. we have had a e-mail last month comfirming they paid it at the reduced rate of 0.5% and are holdig the over payment on account against our next stage payment. scince then ive found out a resident living at turtle bay is chargeing £50 for doing it! apparently shes makeing a nice little earner with all the people lucky enough to know about her.just shows how the solicitors have took us with our pants down regards andrew

N4M I'm not sure what you mean by registering our contract with the land registry. We paid our stamp duty as Andrew mentioned but this sounds like a different thing??? Our solicitors havn't been in touch about any of this so we were hanging fire.
Sorry don't know what the N/A stands for on the prices. Maybe those properties are changing into something else now?? Heather is over in NC at the moment. I will see if I can put any photos she brings back on the msn site, though i will be over there myself now in 4 weeks. |
