Hi hairdresser

We received the email from Lynx Monday this week requesting same payment. We did query certain parts of the contract, and received a reply today stating that they have received alot of comments from other buyers at CBV and will reply early next week with a comprehensive answer to all questions raised.
We were beginning to think that we were the only ones to have received the extra bill for £1040 for electric transformer costs,as no one else that we know has had a similar request.(yet)!
We too have paid for all extras, planting, pool furniture etc. and are going over next week for key handover. Nurten emailed yesterday saying they are still waiting delivery of electric meters to site, so we may have to make do with candles for a while yet!
We have chosen the glass balcony option, and thanks for advice on cleaning, we'll try and borrow a step ladder from somewhere or buy a pair of stilts, but I don't suppose they will sell them in the hardware store in Esentepe!!!
Keep in touch.
Andrew & Sue

Default Residents/Owners Association

Hello everyone

I am new to this forum.

I posted on another thread, some suggestions for dealing with these issues.

Basically, I feel that it will do us no good to complain about our legal obligations (however badly the situation has been handled and our feelings trodden upon) BUT that we need to unite to deal with the situation.

A Petition puts us in a weak position - that's going cap in hand, begging.

We have legal rights as well as legal obligations, and I suggest that we implement them.

Yes, we are required to pay a proportionate share of Actual Costs but does any one of us know what those costs are? I have had no response to my requests for a breakdown.

Secondly, the Lynx contract. We are under no legal obligation to pay Lynx, or to contract with them. I suggest that at speed we form a Residents Association, elect a Committee, and appoint our Committee to get a reasonable maintenance contact negotiated and put in place with a contractor of our choice.

Lastly, building a Gymnasium and Indoor Jacuzzi is a legal obligation on Evergreen - and it has not been met. I suggest that until it is, we withold any further payments - of whatever nature - to anyone except the local authorities.

There are 2 owners resident on the Crystal Bay View site, in G block. I contacted them on my arrival in Cyprus, and I think that everyone else would be wise to do so also, as a first step towards getting our situation sorted out.

all the best Anastasia

Hi Anastasia
You have appeared rather late on the Forum Noard, most of the posters here have over a years worth of correspondance and know each other reasonably well, in most caes the people I regulalry talk to are of the same opinion

I suggest you read the comments noted here on my posting

' Blue Bay Village and the Lynx maintanace contract update'

Do I know you ? I have the feeling we have already met !

PS
The Gym and Jacuzzi are definately happening on Blue Bay village just a matter of a few weeks

The maintanace contract is fair considering costs associated with other 'like for like' developments.

The fact that Trevorgreen (Evergreen) have still retained an interest in there product and sub contracted the assett to Lynx should not be seen as a negative but rather a possitice step forward.

Respect & Regards to you anastasia

PS
I think that my attempt at 'petition' was hardly seen as 'weak' as certain individuals where happy to suggest litigation !, also it resulted in some very possitve and constructibe leaps forward

I was unhappy too re electricity but have been told

the same as us.
It is the way they communicated that to us that was unprofessional
I am very pleased with the site, the buildings, the finish and the potential
and realistically with all the costs put together couldn't have secured
a Caravan at Cala Gran for the same.
Looking forward to the future

Hi Holiday Mel
Well said !
Your thoughts echo that of my myself and fellow buddies Scott and Suntanman, its not a defeatist attitude, simply based on facts having investigated the 'bigger picture' but we still have to keep our 'eye on the ball' as Anastasia points out on some of the recent posts.

The product is good value, there are many comparisons to be made with other countries in similar settings and there is still 'value' in our respective purchases.

Scott and Suntanman willl be travelling out in the next few days and will provide reports on there return
Overall i am happy with the build qaulity, Customer service seems to be improving as well
Are you Blue bay or Cyrstal Bay view ?

Kind reagrds to you
Pan

The legal aspect of ownership for business premises is a minefield as you seem to already know
Best bet is to rent the premises, if things go pear shaped you can always walk away
Unfortunately he will not be travelling out with me on this occasion but I will ask him for any info he has on the topic, he has already done his home work on this

Hairdresser,
Still no meters on site when we left (15 May) but were told that they were imminent, as paperwork between Kibtek and Evergren was completed.

What date are you going in Sept?
We are there again from 22 Aug to 14 Sep.
Hope we can get our contract from land registry to transfer electric into our names next time.

It was a shame you missed Pan as he arrived on BlueBay on the Wednesday and tagged along with me and my folks for the week. I think a good time was had by all.

So, although the water was not on (down on CBBR), nor the electric I still managed to get a clean done and had the furniture moved in.

I love CBBR. It is going to look bloody fantastic once the landscaping is done and Lynx are in to maintain the site. A first rate job by Evergreen hip hip horray.

The week started off with a meeting with Nurten who was charming as ever and I paid all the monies owed. However, Nurten would not take any monies for the Landscaping or Pool Furniture.

Next came the meeting with Jackie Duba at Lynx.

Jackie is a very charming, very straight forward lady who I found to be full of information and someone who I felt I could trust.

I have paid her my Maintenance Costs but not signed a contract yet until it is time to do so. I will sign the contract as having read of the Contract for Blue Bay I do not feel as though there is anything unreasonable. I raised a request to have it modified and it was. There have been modifications/alterations since the first drafts came out.

I have been critical of the contracts in the past and naturally suspicious of Evergreen in how they have introduced them but that time has passed and it is time that we all looked again at what is being put on the table and see it for what it really is. Enough of the griping and sniping at Evergreen and Lynx.

I met Richard (snagging guy) and you know what ? he is a straight forward, straight talking helpful guy.

I love Kibtec. I think there is great comedy value in that place. Panhandler accompanied me and my folks to the office to get the contracts swapped. The initial queueing went reasonably well. I could not understand peoples concerns at this point. Then came a pure comedy moment. 'Go to room 3 upstairs next door' we were advised by the helpful guy behind the desk. So off we shlepped up the stairs next door and into room 3 only to be told by the occupants 'go to room 1' 'this is crazy' I said to Panhandler, to which he told me that everyone gets the same treatment. During my time there I saw this happen again and again and again. Why ? What is going on ? Noone knows. I love it and think it should stay.

I miss not being on Bluebay this week. I really enjoyed my stay. I feel really good about my purchase on CBBR and can not wait to return in September.
Hi Scott
I guess its back to work now mate !
Sorry I missed you on the last evening, sleep caught up with me, crashed out on the sofa by 1030pm didnt wake up until 10am on the Sunday, trust you, bill and doreen had a pleasant flight home, pleae pass on my regards, we had a cracking time, and i was, as always greatfull for the company, and the use of your transportation !
I guess we have found our local now at the Moulos Inn and not forgetting bar 11 where your dad is now famous for his kareokee skills
I hope I was of some help to you with your CBBR apartment and in Kibtek ( ha ha !)
I would like to echo your words regarding Evergreen and Lynx , and hope that this continues to be a possitive and customer focused relationship going forward
Looking forward to our trip down the panhandle in September , maybe we could meet up with Suntanman, pitty I missed him
warm Regards and the greatest respect to you Scott
