Never heard from, or met her before! (honest)
I recently opened the forum to the world wide web, and since then have had to 'delete' one or two individuals who want to use it for free advertising. I'm trying to keep the forum for property owners only.
Scot made me laugh when we met, it seems that you both had visions of what I would look like. Sorry to dissapoint, no moustache.

Burt

Default Change of opinion

Just been reading through a few old posts, and find the change of peoples views after visiting TRNC very interesting.
Prior to our visits we all seem to be quite stressed, and want to change the world, but on returning appear to be in a different frame of mind and very 'chilled out'
Is it the break that has done us all good, or seeing the finished product, or is it the relaxed lifestyle and way of life in N Cyprus that calms us all down?
Only 13 weeks to my next de-stress break, and can't wait!

Hi suntanman
You are not counting the days then !!
Chilled is definitely the word.Sitting there looking out to sea or mountains, watching the sunset, listening to all that traffic whizzing by all day( just like the M25 ) glass of efes in hand, yes definitely chilled
All the best Ian

Hi Sun
I guess that we have had our monments with Evergreen, both good and bad.
I might add that nothing has been said with out reason or just cause !,
The pen is mightier than the sword !
Evergreen have sucssesfully completed the Blue Bay Village developemnt to a high standard... fact .
Overall I am pleased with the product, the location and the on site facilities

I have holidayed in the apartment twice now, once with the family and on my own, both occasions being trouble free experiences.
The apartment is excellent.

Lynx seem to be on top of things from a facilities management perspective and the develpment /landscaping is beginning to take shape nicely

Am I reasonably confident that we have reached the end of the 'cheque book' phase !

However, always air on the side of caution sun, you never know whats round the corner mate especially in the TRNC.

Look forard to eventually meeting you and the missus
If you really are shreck, as I would like to belive for the sake of my kids, you should be able to find 'donkey' up the panhandle
Regards
Pan

Hi Pan
Having just returned, i agree , the place looks great and when it is finished- wow. I agree we have all had our disagreements with you know who but i suppose it is the same with every builder/developer. My brother in law is having awful troubles with Nokta, making my troubles look minute!!
i cannot wait to meet all of you because it sounds as if it could be such a happy place. I am just looking out of my window in Wiltshire and the trees are almost bent backwards and the rain we have had today would have kept Crystal Bay in water for years ! Get me back there now !!
All the best Ian

ARRY
Through the various forums we have managed to trace 16 owners on CBV, all of whom are either residents or intending to use as holiday homes, there are two others who have yet to make contact via the forums but are known to other owners. Between us all we have met everyone, and we seem to be a really nice bunch of people. Add Scot, Panhandler, Jimbob and others from Blue Bay, CBBR and there would be an almighty party if we were all to be there at the same time.

I certainly hope you are right with the end of the cheque book phase, mine's about worn out!
We are looking forward to the day when we are sat on the patio and can say..That's it, we've done it..
Hope your kids won't be too dissapointed, I could always grow a moustache and do a Burt Reynolds impersonation.

Scot,
If you are out there....who did you book your car rental with?
We are thinking of a Taxi from Larnaca next time and hiring a car in TRNC rather than hiring from the south.

Default Extra Electricity costs

Hi,
I am new to this forum, I only wish I found it last year.

My wife and I have an apartment in BBV and have completed and have keys. To date we still have not paid the extra electricity charges as we feel it was unfair of evergreen to request it so far after completion.

Have most people paid this?

We have also had several emails from Lynx asking for money, the most recent, is a final demand for payment. When we received the contracts approximately 2 months ago, we replied to Jackie with several queries and we feel that the contract is very one sided. To this date, we have never had a reply or any contact from Lynx other than the requests for payment.

Have most people also paid Lynx?

Also one final questions, does anyone know if the garden/pool furniture has arrived at BBV?

Thanks.

Hi Sandman
Wow !,so late in the game ?
I assume you are talking about the electrical costs for the transformer , think most of us got over that hurdle some months ago and paid up when it became apparent that all developments due for completion at the time regardless of the developer where subject to simlar requets and had to pay up
I think you will have to pay up pal, Im suprised you have not recieved legal papers from Evergreen, you must know you will not be able to take legal ownership of your proerty if you dont, and will face a lengthy court battle.
I initially refused to pay as the title suggets on this thread, but legally I had no choice.
The alternatives could have been me travelling over to find my property boarded up and the locks changed
As for Lynx, most of us have alreadty paid up, again some months after the contracts where ammended in response to some constructive critisism
from fellow purchasers on Blue Bay
If you follow the links where suntanman has posted on this forum board, you will note he has his own forum board, most of the owners on BBV CBBR and CBV use this board to communicate, lots of pictures and constructive advice can be found here.
The pool furniture and site look fantastic, Lynx appear to be doing a great job
Gym, Jaccuzi and tennis courts all good
If I where you I would be more worried about losing your propery than worrying about the pool furniture
Good luck
Pan

Hi sandman and welcome to the forum.
Where have you been for the last 2 years?
There has been a lot of discussion between us all on various stages of development on all the Evergreen sites and we have shared experiences/problems at crucial stages.
From all the contacts we have made, I think I can say that we all now agree to the re-revised contracts from Lynx and have paid our fees for this year. Lynx have done a tremendous job at Blue Bay & Crystal Bay View, and together with landscaping, both sites sre looking good.
Here is the the link to my forum crystalbayviewnorthcyprus
