Default petition against evergreen developments extra electricity costs

Hi all at Blue Bay village and Crystal Bay view
Ill keep this simple
I am travelling out to TRNC on Tuesday 15th April 08
I have a appointment with my solicitor on wednesday 16th
I also intend to arrange an appiontment with Evergreens directors

It is my intention to form a petition of owners who are dissatisfied with the unreasonable and unrealisitc extra costs associated with their most recent demand for £1300 for unforseen electricity costs.

I find this demand both unproffesional and unrealistic considering that we are now owners and have met our financial obligations under conract

The time scale for such a payment of two weeks is also unproffesional and takes no account for peoples ability to pay this at such short notice
If you feel strongly about this and other issues such as the maintanance contract please PM me with the following

Your name ( owners name)
contact telephone number ( with any international dialling codes outside of the UK)
Your apartment Number
Your development Blue bay or Cystal Bay Veiw

I will need this before Midday on Monday with a brief message of your conerns for the attention of the Evergreen directors

I have a lot of contacts in the city and have courted a London newspaper who have an interest in writing a piece on the currrent status of the property market in the TRNC and may be interested in are plight as far as purchasing of plan developments are concerned

Regards
Panhandler

Exclamation

pan

To date, I think I am the only one on Crystal Bay View who has had the request for extra payment.
I think everyone is hoping that the email from E'green will not materialise, and possibly be exempt from the extra charges.

I would urge all buyers on CBV to show their concern over the inevitable, and make comment.

Hello everyone. I am a joint purchaser (along with my parents) of penthouse F4 on CBV and have always monitered these forums. My parents are currently in North Cyprus and are not back until the 16th. Although I cannot speak for them I'm sure that they would be with you on this one because I certainly am.

Panhandler it is excellent what you are doing. Somebody needs to stand up to Evergreen. They have charged extra for a few things now and its not right. Buyers should have been made aware of these "possible" extra costs when they signed the contracts and then there wouldn't have been a problem. Has anyone heard anything about other so called reputable companies charging for these extra costs, because I havn't.

Hi Paul
I wonder if your parents were presented with the extra charge last week before receiving handover of keys?

Dont know. It would be like evergreen to keep quiet and then send an email when they are back home.

Default Petition against Extra Electricity costs

Hi to all,
We were hit with the extra electricity costs when we visited Evergreen offices 23/3/08 and were told that e-mails had gone out to all 1 month prior to our visit. Even though I had sent a mail outlining the reason for the visit was to take possesion and any issues must be conveyed to me before our visit. Heared nothing ( not unusual ) I was then informed that they will not hand over keys untill we paid this extra bill and would not allow us to have any goods delivered as we could cause some damage to the property in doing so.I lost my temper with this insult. After calming down ( some hours later ) I realised they had me by the short & curlies and the only way forward was to pay ( Via my solicitor who also informed me that they have looked into this and we had to pay this extra amount in the end ) Once we had proved this money had been paid we were allowed the keys. You have my full support on your petition and i for one are discussted with the way in which Evergreen treated us and appreciate Panhandler taking the lead for all on what is your holiday which should be a relaxing time.

Smile evergreen developments

If the government was to blame , one would expect that the error would have been sorted out after the first site had been finished. We all expect mistakes. But as I said above the mistakes should have been rectified for the remaining sites to be finished without excess costs.
We are buying on Crystal Bay Park, and were led to believe that there were to be 4 apartment blocks on the site, this was stated catergorically in their brochure they gave us, they also stated it was to be a gated site.

Since then an extra apartment block has gone up, and it is now no longer gated. Presumably, as they now have more potential clients, is the costing going down?

If this is the case, they have at least thought ahead.

Hi Taffy
I completed my contractual obligations with Evergreen and took possesion with keys in January my electricity is also registered with Kibtec and I have been paying them for the lecy ever since
I believe that several others who are in the same boat have a case to answer and there respective solicors will fight it all the way if nessacery.

Sorry to hear about the way you have been treated
Frankly Im not suprised
Although you situation is slightly different from that of some of the other purchasers you should have been given a realistic time scale to pay these extras after all this is clearly there error.
