Is the TRNC Lawless?
Having now lived in North Cyprus for over four years I still have not seen nor heard of even once case which laws have been enforced on locals just forigners or the so called visitor.
Considering most Cypriots are related is it even possible to enforce laws?
Forigners are fined for 1001 different reasons even the water fine in Lapta is nearly 17K
more than the 3YTL the law states. I realize the island need to pay wages for all the easy jobs designed for Turk Cypriort early retirement but come on guys give us a break!
Water shortages cannot be solved by the building larger storage tanks to hord water that can be used to wash down the walls and streets when the water is turned off in an effort to save water. Most complaints made by the British are justified and if it puts off home sales than the answer is for builders and estate agents to clean up their act not expect the ex pat to shut up and let others fall into the same trap.
Does anyone know of anyone who has a title deed in their name? If so, it is the exception we do however have ours but feel sorry for our many friends who are still waiting after five years. Too much to cover in just this first message afraid we could not in good faith tell anyone moving to TRNC is a good move a nice place to visit YES to live perhaps to invest in a BIG NO!
